Our welding capacity comprises of MIG, TIG and arc welding sets, a stud welder, a conventional spot welder and two specialist spot welders.

The first specialist spot welder is an Amada TS86K - the component rests on a height adjusting flat bed and the electrodes mounted in a hand gun are taken to the part rather than the part to the machine. This makes spot welding more relaxed, more accurate with access to places not accessable on a conventional machine. In other words, it greatly increases the scope of the process. The machine also has an antioxident system which eliminates burn marks, a great advantage on stainless steel which may not subsequently be painted or dressed.

The second machine is a conventional spot welder but it is extremely high powered at 60kVA (conventional machines are typically 25kVA). This gives us the capacity to spot weld 1.5mm aluminium rare in the market. The machine was purchased for a customer contract but we are looking to develop this market to match the aluminium cutting capacity of our Amada laser.
