We have added significantly to our capacity with the purchase of a new Amada LC1212 Alpha IV laser machine. This 2.5kW machine is capable of cutting 12mm mild steel, 8mm stainless steel and 6mm aluminium at high speed with superb edge finish. It is also capable of cutting materials other than metal such as wood and plastic and with 300mm travel in the vertical axis it can cut holes and profiles in box sections.

Laser programming is very fast and the complexity of shapes of no consequence making the machine very useful for fast prototyping. Mainly though, its ability to cut thick materials quickly makes it an ideal production machine enabling us to offer competitive prices and lead times on all laser work.

Cutting thick alumimium on the machine has opened new markets in the electronics industry which we have complimented with the purchase of a new high powered aluminium spot welding machine.
